After building two careers—one in boardrooms, one as author of business books that sold more than 60,000 copies—I finally began the saga I had always longed to write.
I wanted to tell a story about ordinary people in the face of extreme circumstances, and how they find the strength within themselves to endure rather than surrender. That desire grew out of my own experience reading novels about world history—stories that reveal how humanity endured and shaped the world we live in today.
Inspired by writers such as Anthony Doerr, Agatha Christie, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, I try to combine meticulous historical research with emotionally driven storytelling.
My debut historical novel, Hearts Beneath the Broken Sky, is the first installment of the Broken Sky Saga, a series that explores love, courage, sacrifice, and resilience during the deadliest military conflict in human history.
I am happily married, the proud father of two daughters, and a devoted grandfather. I believe that the most meaningful stories are rooted in the human connections that shape our lives, a conviction that guides every book I write.
